Patient Update – 30th March 2020 re COVID-19
We are temporarily reducing our clinic hours at the Fortitude Valley practice so as our team can keep patient (and personal) safety front and centre. From Monday 30th March, our interim clinic hours will be:
8am to 4pm – Monday to Friday.
HOW DOES THIS EFFECT ME?
Very little will change for the public except that phones will now be answered between 8.30am and 4pm. HOWEVER, please note we are currently experiencing a high volume of calls, so we have dedicated members of our team specifically to answer your emails, which may be a far more timely and convenient option than telephoning.- Booking and general enquires please email HERE:
- All non-urgent medical enquires can be sent to our nursing team HERE:
- For all urgent medical concerns please contact your surgeon, GP or attend your local emergency room
TELEHEALTH:
All consultations will now be undertaken via Telehealth at your designated appointment time. You will still receive a reminder text a few days prior to your appointment and can opt for either a phone call or Skype consultation. Please advise us of your Skype name if you would prefer this method.POST-OPERATIVE CARE:
Our amazing clinical nurses will continue to offer post-operative appointments for dressings etc as required, at our Fortitude Valley, North Lakes and Redlands locations. Following your operation you will be contacted by a member of our nursing team to arrange these consultations at a specified clinic.ELECTIVE PROCEDURES:
Elective surgery procedures are on hold for the time being, HOWEVER we are still offering Telehealth consultations to patients to discuss options and procedures. Please note that there may be a delay in your procedure pending advice from the Department of Health and our medical associations. All elective procedures will still involve a personal consultation prior to your procedure and we will make arrangements to schedule these at a later date.CATEGORY 1 and 2 PROCEDURES:
We will continue to offer Cat 1 (skin cancers) or urgent Cat 2 procedures to patients who meet the criteria. These will be attended to in one of our private hospitals or in our Fortitude Valley minor procedures facility. During your consultation, your surgeon will determine if you meet these criteria and triage you for surgery appropriately. Please be assured that we have every intention of remaining open for the duration of this uncertain time. Continuing to provide exceptional care, service and peace of mind to all of our patients is of utmost importance to our team.
